Electrical External Service Engineer

As an Electrical External Service Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for installing, commissioning, fault finding and servicing our products and systems across the UK. Our engineers work across a wide range of sites, from quarries to chemical processing plants and more. Besides holding relevant electrical qualifications, a positive attitude and the ability to communicate well with customers are essential. The role requires working at height: for example, a recent installation took place on a silo that was 40m tall. This is a physically demanding role that will require climbing sets of ladders. Service engineers will typically be expected to spend time working away from home; this will require overnight stays and potentially long periods of travel during the day.  In return for this commitment, you will be working for a supportive, welcoming company whose employees have a real stake in the success of the business.


Internal Sales Engineer

As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day handling of enquiries, quotations and orders in a busy sales office. Working as a team member, your main job function will be processing customer enquiries from an e-mail, website contact, inbound phone calls or site reports and providing detailed quotations promptly.  The business is looking to grow and the right person will also be expected to proactively call customers to support our marketing strategy. External Regional Sales Engineer

As an External Regional Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for finding business development opportunities within an assigned region of the UK. Regional Sales Engineers are expected to maintain and contact our existing customer database, as well as finding new prospects and establishing new business. Engineers will typically be expected to spend 3 out of 5 working days visiting customers, surveying their sites and discussing any potential requirements they may have. There may also be requirements for overnight stays to maximise customer contact during the week. A vital part of the role is generating detailed visit reports after each site visit, from which the Hycontrol internal sales team will be able to provide the customer with a quotation based on your survey.
