The Reflex VF2 Series range of TDR guided microwave products is ideal for the measurement of liquids, powders and granules to a range of 40 metres. Unaffected by pressure, temperature, viscosity, vacuum, foam, dust, changes in dielectric constant or coating of the probe, the VF Series level indicators can measure virtually any product in either Direct, Automatic or TBF mode utilising any one of its seven available probe types.

The VF2 TDR transmits low-intensity electromagnetic pulses of approximately one nanosecond width along a rigid or flexible conductor. These pulses move at the speed of light and when the pulses reach the surface of the product to be measured, the pulses are reflected back to the signal converter. The device then measures the time from when the pulse was transmitted to when it is received. This is then divided by two, as this is the time equivalent to the distance from the reference point of the device to the surface of the product. The time value is then converted into an output current of 4-20 mA.

VF2 offers users a range of options including remote display, ATEX, and alternate housing types to suit a range of applications.

The VF2 is fitted with new DPR advanced software for dynamic parasite rejection which automatically removes false signals and improves stability and accuracy of the measured signal.
